THE HANDS BEHIND THE THREAD
OUR PEOPLE
OUR TRADITION
Family Values
Kashmir Bloom is the work of artisan families who have practised the craft for generations. Knowledge is passed quietly — a parent showing a child how to hold the needle, a master refining an apprentice's stitch, a wooden spinning wheel taught by feel before it is taught by name.
Every artisan is paid fairly and treated with respect. There are no production lines here. The artisan who begins a piece finishes it — because the rhythm of the stitchwork must remain consistent, and because each shawl deserves a single hand.
THEIR STORIES
STORIES FROM THE WORKSHOP
Each artisan brings a lifetime of skill. Their hands shape not just thread and fabric, but the very identity of Kashmir Bloom.
BEYOND THE WORKSHOP
The Lineage We Tend
The valley has carried this craft through colonial disruption, partition, and the upheavals of the twentieth century. It survived because the knowledge was held inside families and communities, taught patiently in homes long before it ever reached a workshop.
We invest in the regions where our artisans live and work. Fair pay is the floor, not the ceiling. We support apprenticeships so the next generation has a craft to carry — and a livelihood that lasts.
