Innovation, for Kashmir Bloom, is not the abandonment of tradition. It is the careful work of making tradition reach further. Heritage Pashmina is hand-spun and handwoven exactly as the valley has done it for centuries. Pure Cashmere is woven on precision modern looms — the technique is new, the devotion is the same.

We do not modernise the craft to lower its cost. We modernise the loom so a wider audience can come close to the craft, and so the artisans whose hands have held it for centuries have a livelihood that lasts.

Tradition That Holds

A Heritage Pashmina shawl is the living continuation of a five-century-old practice. The motifs, the stitch counts, the way the embroiderer reads the weave from the wrong side of the cloth — these have not changed in generations, because they did not need to.

The artisan who begins a piece finishes it. The tension, the rhythm and the character of the stitchwork stay consistent throughout. Hand-spun, hand-warped, hand-woven, hand-embroidered — every step in the same hands.

Our Pure Cashmere line is the modern voice of Kashmir Bloom. Woven in the valley on precision modern looms from cashmere combed in Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, these pieces are designed for daily wear — lighter, smoother, softer to drape — without losing the truth of the fibre or the integrity of the maker.
