MADE BY HAND
FROM THE VALLEY, BY THE VALLEY
Sozni embroidery, Kashmir's finest needle work, has been practised in the valley for over five centuries. Persian influence shaped the early motifs; Mughal patronage from the sixteenth century onward elevated the craft to its highest expression. The Kashmir shawl became one of the most prized textiles in the world.
What survived the centuries was not a museum piece, but a living craft — taught family to family, master to apprentice, in the same lanes of Srinagar where the work continues today.
LIVING TRADITION
TRADITION THAT TRAVELS
Our forefathers understood that good business begins with good conscience. They taught us that a piece of work carries more than thread — it carries the maker's word. That principle, whispered father to son for generations, continues to guide every shawl that leaves our looms.
The motifs on a Kashmir Bloom shawl — chinar, lotus, paisley, jaali — are the same the valley has been drawing for centuries. The vocabulary has evolved; the connection to Kashmir's natural world has not.
